Accessible Care, Rooted in Community

Invicta Recovery Center is a dedicated outpatient addiction and mental health treatment program located in Altadena, California — in the heart of the Northern Pasadena community.

We believe that effective treatment doesn’t require stepping away from your life. Our programs are designed to meet you where you are — whether you’re stepping down from a residential program or beginning your recovery journey for the first time.

Our approach is built on three commitments: evidence-based clinical care, genuine human connection, and the kind of cultural and linguistic responsiveness that makes treatment truly accessible to everyone we serve.

A Whole-Person Approach to Outpatient Recovery

Substance use rarely exists in isolation. We treat the full picture — addiction, mental health, relationships, and daily life — using a coordinated team of licensed clinicians.

Individualized Treatment Plans

Every client receives a personalized plan developed collaboratively with their clinical team. Goals are built around your strengths, needs, and life circumstances — and updated throughout care.

Individual & Group Counseling

You’re assigned a primary therapist and case manager who guide your care from day one. Weekly individual sessions are complemented by structured group therapy to build connection and shared accountability.

Co-Occurring Mental Health Care

We treat substance use and mental health conditions together. Our clinicians are trained to identify and address anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and emotional regulation challenges alongside addiction.

Case Management & Life Skills

Recovery is about rebuilding, not just sobriety. Our case managers help with daily functioning, community resources, employment planning, and re-enrollment in school — so you leave with a stronger foundation.

Relapse Prevention Planning

Starting from your first day of treatment, we work with you to identify personal triggers, build coping strategies, and develop a crisis response plan you can rely on long after formal treatment ends.

Music Production & Creative Mentorship

One of our distinctive program offerings, music production mentorship supports clients in building a sense of purpose and identity outside of addiction — a meaningful pathway that many find transformative in early recovery.

Three Levels of Outpatient Care

Our continuum of care allows you to receive the right level of support at every stage of recovery — and transition smoothly as your needs change.

PHP

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Our most intensive outpatient option, PHP provides structured daily programming with the flexibility to return home each evening. It’s a strong choice for individuals stepping down from residential care or those who need more support than standard outpatient can provide. Includes daily individual and group therapy, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, trauma-focused care, and dual diagnosis treatment.

IOP

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

IOP is designed to fit into your schedule — typically 3–5 days per week for several hours per day — so you can continue working, attending school, or caring for your family while receiving structured clinical support. Sessions include CBT and DBT skills training, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) when appropriate, family therapy, and trauma-informed group work.

OP

Outpatient & Aftercare

Standard outpatient care involves fewer weekly sessions and is well-suited for clients who’ve achieved a degree of stability and are ready for greater independence. Ongoing therapy, psychiatric care, and alumni group participation help sustain long-term recovery well beyond formal treatment.

MAT

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

MAT combines FDA-approved medications with counseling and behavioral therapies for opioid and alcohol use disorders. At Invicta Recovery, MAT is always integrated into a comprehensive, individualized plan — coordinated across levels of care with careful clinical oversight and a focus on treating the whole person.

Evidence-Based Therapies, Tailored to You

Our licensed therapists draw from a broad clinical toolkit to build a plan that fits your situation, goals, and recovery stage.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Helps you identify and reframe the thought patterns driving harmful behaviors. One of the most research-supported approaches for breaking cycles of addiction and negative thinking.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Combines mindfulness with emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness — particularly helpful for individuals with impulsivity, mood fluctuations, or borderline personality disorder.

Trauma-Focused Therapy & CPT

We use Trauma Focused Therapy (TFT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to help clients process and heal from traumatic experiences linked to addiction or mental health challenges.
