Support for Adults Navigating Substance Use and Mental Health

You may be looking for a step-down from inpatient care, a starting point that fits around work and family, or a way to address substance use and a co-occurring condition at the same time. Invicta Recovery Center is designed for adults across the San Gabriel Valley who need structured outpatient care without leaving their daily lives behind.

We serve Pasadena, Altadena, Glendale, Burbank, Arcadia, Glendora, San Dimas, Claremont, San Bernardino, Hollywood, and neighboring communities.

Our team supports people navigating:

  • Alcohol, fentanyl, methamphetamine, Xanax, and kratom use
  • Anxiety, depression, and trauma alongside substance use
  • Insurance questions — including TRICARE coverage for treatment
  • Step-down care after detox or residential treatment

If you are not sure where you fit, our admissions team can help you figure out the right level of care before you commit to anything.

Outpatient Programs at Invicta Recovery

Three levels of structured care, matched to where you are in recovery.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

The highest level of outpatient care. PHP gives you full-day structure five days a week, including group therapy, individual sessions, and skills training — without an overnight stay.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

A flexible step between PHP and standard outpatient care. IOP runs several hours a day, multiple days a week, so you can keep working or attending school while staying in active treatment.

Outpatient Program (OP)

Ongoing support after you have built early recovery skills. Outpatient care helps you maintain progress, navigate triggers, and stay connected to clinical support as life moves forward.

Substance-Specific Treatment Programs

Different substances carry different medical risks, withdrawal patterns, and relapse triggers. Our treatment plans are built around what you are actually using — not a one-size-fits-all template.

Alcohol Addiction Treatment

Medical coordination and therapy for alcohol use disorder.

Fentanyl Addiction Treatment

Higher-risk opioid care with detox coordination.

Meth Addiction Treatment

Behavioral therapy for stimulant use disorders.

Xanax Addiction Treatment

Tapered care for benzodiazepine dependence.

Kratom Addiction Treatment

Outpatient support for kratom dependence.

Mental Health and Co-Occurring Conditions

Substance use rarely shows up on its own. If you are also living with depression, anxiety, or another condition, treating both at the same time gives you a stronger foundation for lasting recovery.

We integrate co-occurring mental health care into every level of our program, including:

Evidence-Based Therapies That Drive Real Change

You will not be handed a generic worksheet and sent on your way. Our clinical team draws from established, research-backed modalities that have been shown to support recovery from substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Identify the thought patterns driving substance use and build practical strategies to interrupt them.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Build emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal skills — especially useful for co-occurring conditions.

We work with most major commercial plans and are familiar with TRICARE coverage for addiction and mental health treatment, including how benefits apply for active-duty members, veterans, and their families.

Frequently Asked Questions About Outpatient Treatment

Outpatient addiction treatment is structured clinical care for substance use that does not require an overnight stay. You attend therapy sessions, groups, and skill-building during scheduled hours, then return home each day. It is a fit for people who are medically stable and need flexibility to keep working, parenting, or studying while in treatment.

PHP is the most intensive outpatient level, with full-day programming five days a week. IOP runs several hours a day, multiple days a week, and fits around work or school. Standard outpatient care is the lowest intensity, designed for people who have built early recovery skills and need ongoing clinical support.

Yes. Invicta Recovery is familiar with TRICARE benefits for addiction and mental health care, including how coverage applies for active-duty members, veterans, and dependents. Our admissions team can verify your specific plan before you start.

Yes. Treating both conditions together — known as dual diagnosis treatment — has been shown to produce stronger recovery outcomes than treating either condition in isolation. Our program integrates co-occurring mental health care into every level.

Length of care depends on the level you start at, your clinical needs, and your progress. Many people begin in PHP or IOP and step down through outpatient over the course of several weeks to several months. Your treatment team will build a timeline with you, not for you.

Our outpatient program is located at 2235 N Lake Ave, Ste 110, Altadena, CA 91001. We serve adults from Altadena, Pasadena, and the wider Los Angeles area.
