Invicta Recovery Center provides evidence-based outpatient treatment for adults managing addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions. Our Altadena outpatient drug rehab offers Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and outpatient programs tailored to your individual needs. Through personalized treatment plans, small-group therapy, psychiatric support, multilingual services, and insurance guidance, we help you build stability and develop lasting recovery skills.
Coordinated treatment addresses substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions through one individualized care plan tailored to your needs.
Our multilingual team provides treatment in English, Spanish, and Armenian to support clear communication and personalized care throughout recovery.
Evidence-based therapies help you develop practical coping skills, manage emotional challenges, and build healthier habits for everyday life and recovery.
Getting treatment shouldn’t require stepping away from every part of your daily life. Invicta Recovery Center provides structured outpatient care while helping you remain connected to work, school, family, and your community. We tailor each treatment plan to your clinical needs, substance use history, mental health, current stability, and recovery goals. Small-group programming supports personal attention and stronger communication with your treatment team.
Our DHCS-licensed program provides insurance guidance before care begins. Whether you’re entering treatment for the first time or continuing after a higher level of care, a clinical assessment helps determine the program that provides the right amount of structure and support.
Our Altadena facility also welcomes adults from Pasadena, Sierra Madre, Arcadia, and surrounding San Gabriel Valley communities. We provide accessible outpatient addiction and mental health treatment while helping you stay connected to your local support system.
Substance use can become connected to thoughts, emotions, relationships, and stressful experiences. Our evidence-based approach helps you identify the patterns contributing to substance use and develop healthier ways to respond. Available therapies include cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy. Treatment may include individual counseling, group sessions, family services, and specialty therapies when they match your clinical needs.
Many people seeking addiction treatment also experience anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, or other mental health challenges. At Invicta Recovery, we integrate co-occurring mental health care into each appropriate outpatient level. This dual diagnosis approach considers how substance use and mental health may affect one another. Your team can then coordinate both areas through one personalized plan instead of treating them as unrelated concerns.
We offer multiple levels of outpatient care because every person needs a different degree of support. PHP provides full-day treatment five days each week without an overnight stay. IOP includes several hours of therapy on multiple days each week. Standard outpatient care provides ongoing clinical support with greater scheduling flexibility. Each program allows you to return home after scheduled services.
A clinical assessment determines where your care should begin. Your team considers your substance use, mental health, medical stability, daily responsibilities, and current support needs. Your treatment plan can also change as you make progress. You may move from a more intensive schedule into a flexible program as you build stability, strengthen recovery skills, and prepare to manage challenges with less frequent clinical support.
Personal reviews can provide insight into the treatment environment and experiences of former clients receiving outpatient drug rehab in Altadena, CA. Every recovery journey is different, so individual experiences don’t guarantee a particular result.

Also a very good environment to learn who you truly are and how you can go about your futurePosted on Google Tyler CJune 29, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This is an amazing recovery program. Helped me find and completed a good welding school and get certificates. Really took care of me when I needed it and asked for help. Arman and the whole crew of staff over here really are one of a kind. If you need help regarding substance abuse or mental health I would definitely recommend checking out Invicta recovery !Posted on Google Rafael JJune 9, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Arman (Program Leader) vision for INVICTA RECOVERY is a story that should be heard. Invicta is a Latin word that translates to "invincible," "undefeated," or "unconquered.” Recovery is another word for “life” as recovery is always continuous. This recovery center embodies this definition; Invicta recovery, aka “invisible for life”, “undefeated for life”, and “unconquered for life”. There are so many great and amazing things I would love to say about Invicta Recovery, but words themselves won’t do it justice. Our actions and choices we make after graduating prove this program’s continuous effort for a sober lifestyle works. When I first started in the program, I was one leg in and one leg out. I hadn’t surrendered; invicta was not within me. Relapse is part of people’s story—it was part of mine, but it’s what happens after the relapse that will define you. Invicta did not give up on me when I gave up on myself. I fell, I was on the floor (or in a metaphorical hole), and with no judgment—they reached out and picked me right back up. I saw failure, but invicta, they saw potential. I’m trying to make this review very concise on how this program saved my life. The staff at Invicta Recovery really cares about their clients. Dr. Marks—who I had the honor to be part of her group—has forever changed my life path and my heart. I can’t express the gratitude I have for her as my group facilitator. Dr. Marks’s style for running her groups is second to none. Group A is what helped shape the person I didn’t know that I could become. I finally grew up. I saw my self-worth, I saw my potential, I saw what life can and will be. I finally understand what HOPE means. My mentality of “Don’t you know who I am?” has now changed to “I know who I am!” So a big shout and thank you to Dr. Marks as I under her tutelage. Dr. Marks is a perfect example of what Arman’s vision for Invicta Recovery is. I can’t forget to mention. The amazing therapist/counselors: Benny and Astghik. I have a lot of unresolved issues that I also didn’t know I had. I am a USMC Veteran with severe PTSD anxiety and depression. Both are highly skilled and highly trained professionals who broke down my walls when and where I couldn’t. The staff works cohesively. With Dr. Marks’ groups that uncover life experiences and with therapists on site to handle IMMEDIATELY is what makes this program amazing. Communication between staff is key to our success. I would love to say more, but confidentiality is between my therapist and me. Kevin and Sam. These two are a hoot. Always there and very much sincere. Their humorous personality is what brings smiles to everyone’s face. Always there to listen and also to shoot the shot with you, which brings that homey feeling to Invicta. My last mention, who I am also eternally grateful to, is Topher, the house manager. He goes above and beyond his duties. His attention to detail is impeccable. He adapts and overcomes any situation thrown at him at a moment’s notice. I appreciate everything he has done and continues to do. He really cares about the clients and the success for us. Topher, know that my success was also because of you. I know if I ever need to reach out, who will always be there, and that means a lot to me. In conclusion, Invicta Recovery not only saved me but also helped shape who I am today. Should anybody be looking for a treatment or recovery center, Invicta Recovery is the place to be.Posted on Google Gerry GApril 6, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My name is Derek, I absolutely had the best treatment center Invicta Recovery. The staff and Manager Arman are absolutely the BEST. I came to Invicta after 36 days in Detox, Arman is a top notch facilitator at the Detox I was in, I met him there and after 2 meetings with him facilitating a group I knew I needed him and his IOP to get me through the next stages of my recovery. I visited Invicta and from the very moment I met with Kevin and he welcomed me with absolute compassion and support I knew this is where I needed to be. The staff was very great and understanding THANK YOU!!.I finished my outpatient on February 20th and I flew back home to a beautiful, and supporting family, I believe if it weren't for INVICTA RECOVERY I wouldn't have what I've waited so long for.. new life, new family but most of all a happy, thrilling, sober fun life. Thank you again Arman, Kevin, Sam and ALL the staff you are a blessing truly.Posted on Google Matt WFebruary 21, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was a client at invicta recovery centers for around 3 an a half months. I’ll say it did not feel like I was a client. I felt a part of a community that has been absent in my life for 22 years. A sober community. I truly implore you if you are struggling and have a desire to do and be better, to come to invicta and experience what true recovery is all about.Posted on Google Colin MFebruary 10, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This program and its staff changed my life and have changed many others. The staff at Invicta truly care for each member of the program and will go to any length to help people out. Not only do they help guide and support you on the journey to recovery, they also assist in helping members sign up for schooling, find jobs and help with basic life skills. This program offers more than just recovery, it offers supportive community, meaningful relationships and personal growth opportunities.Posted on Google Isabella KOctober 10, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. At Invicta Recovery you are not just another number. All staff takes your recovery personally and passionately, it’s evident through groups and the care they offer round the clock. As someone who has been through rehab and mental health facilities a few times i was just passed around, dubbed a case too hard for others’ faculties. At Invicta, all staff took my problems and faced them head on with me, never giving up. Truly grateful for this place.Posted on Google Aundrea DOctober 9, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I am forever thankful for this recovery center. Very oriented and patient centered per each client and their needs for recovery. Therapists are all highly educated, motivational, as well passionate, and super supportive for your success to recover. I have learned so much about myself, and have grown and healed in many of ways that I'm forever thankful I made the choice to get the help I needed and then decided to come here for the IOP program. The owner/director is one of the best individuals I have ever known, brother and father who also are all involved with the center. You're not a number and it's not over crowded, you're truly treated like you're valued and you realize the bond you make with the staff and clients; you become a family. The sober living homes are very nice for either men or women, my house manager was one of the greatest people I am forever thankful for, with being supportive, truly humble and caring person who understands you just like all of the staff to the family and CEO they understand you , and do care. I had women group and with our therapist who ran them, I cannot begin to thank her enough for helping me grow, as well my own personal therapist he helped me in so many ways. Give them a chance put in the work and see what amazing things can come through for you, because with the right people behind you(Invicta) , and your drive to better yourself and heal, so that you can get well, you won't be disappointed. As long as you're willing and put in the footwork everyone here stands with you and wants everything best for you to move forward and get your life back , to blossom into who you're meant to be . I was broken when I came and today when I leave through trusting the process and these amazing people who I love dearly I am shining bright like a diamond, have blossomed again, and I know I can and will continue to be ok. I feel I've regained my life again to where it was pretty much gone. Many Thank yous to everyone at Invicta, my forever chosen family. You all just don't know how much of a blessing you really are, and I forever love each and every one of you. I cannot express this enough. 🫶🏼💜🙏🏼🫶🏼Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Outpatient addiction treatment provides scheduled clinical care without requiring you to live at the facility. You attend therapy, group sessions, and skills-based programming according to your assigned level of care. You return home after treatment each day.
This structure can help you receive consistent care while maintaining appropriate connections to work, school, family, and your community. Outpatient treatment isn’t suitable for every situation. A clinical assessment determines whether you’re medically stable and whether an outpatient setting can provide enough support for your needs.
PHP is the most structured outpatient level available at Invicta Recovery. It provides full-day treatment five days each week without requiring an overnight stay. Programming includes group therapy, individual counseling, and skills-based sessions.
IOP provides several hours of therapy on multiple days each week. Standard outpatient care offers ongoing support with the greatest scheduling flexibility. Your clinical needs determine the right starting level. Your program may change as you gain stability and require less frequent support.
Your treatment team uses a clinical assessment to understand your current needs. This assessment may consider the substances involved, frequency of use, withdrawal concerns, medical stability, mental health, recovery history, living environment, and daily responsibilities.
The purpose is to recommend an appropriate amount of structure. Some people may need PHP, while others may begin with IOP or standard outpatient services. If outpatient treatment cannot safely address your current needs, your team can explain why another level of care may be appropriate first.
You may be able to continue working or attending school, depending on your assigned program and schedule. IOP and standard outpatient care generally provide more flexibility than PHP. PHP requires full-day participation five days each week.
Your responsibilities are considered during treatment planning, but they aren’t the only factor. Your clinical needs and stability remain central to the recommendation. The goal is to create a realistic schedule without reducing the support you need for safe, meaningful participation in treatment.
Yes. Invicta Recovery provides coordinated care for substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. This approach is commonly called dual diagnosis treatment.
Your plan may address anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, emotional regulation, or other mental health concerns affecting recovery. Treating both areas together helps your team understand how one condition may influence the other. Available services depend on your assessment, treatment goals, and assigned outpatient level.
Invicta Recovery develops individualized plans for alcohol, fentanyl, methamphetamine, Xanax, kratom, and other substance use concerns. Treatment recommendations reflect the substance involved, your health needs, potential withdrawal risks, mental health, and previous treatment experiences.
Care may include behavioral therapy, relapse prevention, practical coping strategies, and coordination with outside medical or detox services when needed. The same plan isn’t applied to every substance or every client. Your assessment guides the services recommended for you.
No. Not everyone needs detox before entering outpatient treatment. The need for detox depends on the substance involved, the pattern of use, withdrawal risks, current symptoms, and medical history.
Some forms of withdrawal can become medically serious and require supervised care. Invicta Recovery isn’t a detox center, residential facility, hospital, or emergency service. If you need medical stabilization or detox first, that care should be coordinated before you begin an outpatient program.
There isn’t one set timeline for outpatient treatment. The length of care depends on your starting program, clinical needs, participation, progress, stability, and recovery goals.
You may begin in PHP or IOP and later transition into standard outpatient care. Another person may enter treatment at a different level. Your clinical team reviews your needs over time and adjusts the plan when appropriate. Treatment length isn’t guaranteed and shouldn’t be based only on a predetermined number of weeks.
Therapy helps you explore the patterns connected to substance use and mental health. Individual sessions provide private time to address personal concerns, recovery barriers, relationships, emotional health, and treatment goals.
Group sessions offer structured opportunities to learn and practice recovery skills with others. Evidence-based approaches such as CBT can help you examine thoughts and behaviors. DBT can support emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and relationship skills. Your treatment plan determines which therapies are appropriate.
Small-group treatment means programming is designed to support personal attention and active participation. You have opportunities to discuss treatment concepts, practice skills, and receive guidance within a structured group environment.
Group treatment doesn’t replace individualized planning. Your clinical needs still guide your overall care. Individual counseling and other services may also be included when appropriate.
Yes. Invicta Recovery provides treatment in English, Spanish, and Armenian. Multilingual support may make it easier to discuss personal experiences, understand clinical concepts, and communicate with your treatment team.
Tell the admissions team about your language needs when you first contact the center. They can explain the available support and help you understand the admissions process. Language services remain one part of a broader treatment plan based on your clinical needs.
Invicta Recovery has experience with TRICARE benefits for addiction and mental health treatment. This includes coverage considerations for eligible service members, veterans, and dependents.
Your coverage depends on your specific eligibility, plan, authorization requirements, network rules, and medically necessary services. The admissions team can verify your benefits and explain the information received from your plan. Verification helps clarify possible coverage but doesn’t guarantee that an insurer will pay for every service.
Insurance networks, benefits, and authorization requirements may differ between plans. Contact admissions even if you don’t see your insurer listed. The team can review your benefits and explain available coverage before treatment begins. Benefit verification isn’t a guarantee of payment or admission into a particular program.
Outpatient treatment can help you identify triggers, strengthen coping skills, and create strategies for responding to difficult situations. Therapy can also help you recognize thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may increase relapse risk.
Relapse prevention doesn’t guarantee continued sobriety. Recovery remains an ongoing process that requires consistent participation, practical support, and adjustment when challenges arise. Your plan may include skills-based sessions, ongoing counseling, and guidance for applying recovery tools in everyday life.
Your team can review and adjust your treatment plan as your needs change. You may need more structure during one stage and greater flexibility later. Changes are based on your clinical condition, stability, progress, and ability to use recovery skills outside scheduled treatment.
Moving between programs isn’t based only on how long you have attended. Your team considers whether the current level continues to provide appropriate support. This responsive approach helps treatment remain connected to your needs throughout recovery.
Begin by contacting the admissions team. You can discuss your concerns, ask questions about available programs, and provide your insurance information for benefit verification.
